The Lake Pine Days Committee is proud to announce the itinerary for Lake Pine Days 2019! We welcome all Lake Pine members and their families to participate in our fun, FREE events! Come and celebrate the 80 year anniversary of this incredible community.
Saturday, August 31
9-11am - Sandcastle Contest - All Ages - South Beach
Come kick off "Lake Pine Days 2019" with your neighbors on South Beach at 9:00am on Sat. August 31st! ***Many categories, including: "Best Castle Built by The Whole Family!"*** Coffee and doughnuts will be served. Please bring your shovels and pails. Hope to see you there!
9-11am - Geocaching Registration - All Ages - South Beach
Sign up during the Sandcastle contest and complete the scavenger hunt from Saturday and Sunday. Earn tickets toward prizes at the picnic.
1pm - Water Sports - All Ages - Main Beach
Swimming, jumping, kickboard and more contests.
3pm - Boat Races - All Ages - Main Beach
For ages 11 - 15, there will be separate competitions for Canoes and Kayaks, racing from the Main Beach to South Beach and back to the Main Beach. And ages 16+, there will be separate competitions for Canoes and Kayaks, racing from the Main Beach to South Beach and back to the Main Beach. Final two boat races for ages 10 and under. They will race from the Main Beach, straight across the lake and back to the Main Beach.
***NEW THIS YEAR*** Cardboard Regatta - Following the boat races
This year for Lake Pine Days we are going to have a Cardboard Regatta!
We will have a race on the lake and we will split you into age groups based on who signs up. This is all ages so if you can paddle, you can enter! Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
if you are interested in competing. This will help to break everyone into age groups before the day of the race. Race location & route information will be sent out closer to the event.
1. Your boat must be made out of cardboard and duct tape only. 2. It has to hold at least 1 person. 3. You can use any paddle you want, it does not have to be made out of cardboard. 4. All participants must wear a life vest. 5. Be creative!!!!

10am - Picnic & Carnival Set Up - Calling all volunteers! Meet at the clubhouse.
11am - Softball Game - Ages 16+ - Ballfields
East vs. West - which side of the lake will win? Join us for a fun game of ball! Soft pretzels and water will be available.
11am - Kiddie Carnival - Children through Grade 5 - Clubhouse Field
Come and try your luck while your parents play softball! Participants will earn carnival tickets. Cash in your carnival tickets at the carnival prize table.**Please note these tickets are for special carnival-only prizes** Volunteers are needed Grade 6 and above to run game stations. Prize tickets for the big prize table will be given to any youth volunteers.
2:30pm - **NEW**- Bike & Wagon Parade! - Laurel Dr. & Taunton Blvd.
Celebrate your Lake Pine pride by decorating your bike, wagon, stroller, or yourself! Parade route will begin at the corner of Laurel Dr. & Taunton Blvd. and continue down West Lake Avenue and next to the clubhouse and around the large field. **Please check your email and text alerts for details. ** Contact Scotty Farrell with any questions re: parade route firstname.lastname@example.org. Trophies will be awarded for 'Most Lake Pine Pride' and 'Most Creative.'
3pm - Picnic and Geocache Finish Line - All Ages - Clubhouse Field
This event is rain or shine! Enjoy an epic picnic with food, music, games, and prizes (and surprises)! Please bring a savory picnic food to share. Dress for the weather and kids should bring a change of clothes/towels if they would like to participate in the water fight. Bring your prize tickets & Turn in your geocache card at the finish line!
8:00pm - Family Camp Out- All Ages - South Beach
Lake Pine families are welcome to camp out on South Beach after the family picnic on Sunday night. If you are interested in participating, you must pre-register by email. Tents must be set up Sunday before the sun goes down.
*Children must be accompanied by adults. There must be one parent in each tent.
If your family requires 2 tents, you must have a parent present in each tent. *Also, we ask that children avoid playing in and around the tents during the event. Our goal is to have the area next to the clubhouse be the social area and the beach as the area for sleeping. *The clubhouse restrooms will be locked up at the end of the family picnic but the porto potty will be available for use during the middle of the night. *Please be prepared with your own flashlights, lanterns, etc. *Quiet hours start at 11pm in compliance with Medford township noise ordinance. *Breakfast on your own.*Tent take down/beach cleanup by 11am Monday morning.
Saturday, September 7th
5pm-8pm - Fishing Derby - All Ages - South Beach
Join us for the 5th Annual Fishing Derby! Biggest fish trophy! Kids 0-12, Teens 13-17, and Adults 18-88.
*Bring your own rod and bait. *Canoe and kayak fishing allowed. *All fish must be weighed by an official derby judge. *Strictly catch and release, only live fish will be weighed. *Fish will be judged on weight with length as a tie breaker. *Pizza and bottled water will be available.
